The Madison 56ers face a unique National Premier Soccer League Midwest Region schedule this year.
The 56ers, formerly known as the Princeton-56ers, will play all four of their road matches before their home opener June 21 at Breese Stevens Field against the Chicago Fire's entry in the amateur league. Madison kicks off the league season at 7 p.m. May 30 at the St. Paul Twin Stars, the reigning region champions, then plays at newcomer Eau Claire Aris FC the next afternoon.
The 56ers haven't announced their full schedule, which is expected to include the U.S. Adult Soccer Association Region II Amateur Cup tournament June 26-28 in the Chicago area. He was an All-Midwest Region All-Star last summer.
